Philadelphia Eagles: 3 possible replacements for Brandon Brooks
By Smit Bajaj
After releasing Jason Peters earlier in the offseason, could the Philadelphia Eagles bring him back to replace Brooks?
Nine-time Pro Bowl mod Jason Peters was released by the Eagles earlier in the offseason and his time in Philadelphia was presumably over, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Peters has made it clear that he is willing to switch positions in order to elongate his career in the NFL and the Eagles legend has a real shot at being signed to replace Brooks.

The shift from left tackle to right guard will not be an easy one and might not even be a switch Peters has to take. The Eagles could possibly put Peters in at left guard and then move Isaac Seumalo to replace Brooks at the right guard position. The shift from left tackle to left guard is a lot easier than a switch to right guard. It’s a lot of mixing and matching, but this shift could pay off in the long run.
The positives with Peters are obvious. For one, he’s talented and knows the playbook better than any other free agent the Eagles could bring, but the injuries are always an issue. After all, it seems a bit problematic to replace an injured player with a player who is already prone to injury.
There’s a lot of factors that will determine whether or not this signing actually happens. The Eagles could attempt to go young as they did with Andre Dillard at the left tackle position. If the Eagles do choose youth, this next potential replacement has a lot to offer.
