54. . . . Jalen Reagor, wide receiver. 8. player

Stop stressing. The Philadelphia Eagles made a wise decision here.

Sure, there’s a difference between how fast someone is and how fast they are in games, but for those of you that are under the impression that Jalen Reagor is slow, we have no idea what you all are looking at.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t talk about the lack of defense in the Big 12 Conference and say that “Reag” played against subpar competition but then praise everything that CeeDee Lamb did in the same conference. You do realize that he played in the Big 12 versus the same competition, don’t you?

Jalen Reagor ran the 40 in 4.47 seconds at the NFL Combine. Only in the world of NFL fans is that considered “slow”. If you were having Lamb remorse after the draft or you were more of a fan of Justin Jefferson, no one will knock you too much, but Reagor can play both inside and outside and he can contribute on special teams. If you’re worried about this guy, don’t be. Philly got a very good receiver in Round 1.

. . Boston Scott, running back. 7. player. 54.

We’ve all gone from laughing anytime someone called Boston Scott “The next Darren Sproles” to sitting back quietly as, down the stretch in 2019, he proved that to be a pretty decent comparison. Now, Boston Scott has a long way to go before he’s in the same class as Sproles. We’re talking about what might be the best all-purpose back in NFL history, but you can see that there is talent.

No one’s laughing now. Scott isn’t a flash in the pan. He’s here to stay. It will be interesting to see how he develops in 2020.
