. . San Francisco 49ers (Away). 4. player. 42.

After a nice start, the Philadelphia Eagles will get their mettle tested in October.

Venue: Levi’s Stadium, Date: Sunday, October 4th, Time: 8:20 PM EST (Week 4)

Remember when Carson Wentz was a rookie and the “Birds” got out to that 3-0 start before reality sunk in and we all were forced to remember that “11” was a rookie? Well, we’re a long way from those days, but you can expect some reality to settle in when Philly takes their 3-0 mark into Levi’s Stadium for a date with the reigning champions of the National Football Conference.

This one’s in primetime. This one’s on the road, and this one feels like a game in which the San Francisco 49ers will show why they were the NFC’s best team in 2019. Prediction: Birds – 17, Niners – 34 (Record: 3-1)

. . Pittsburgh Steelers (Away). 5. player. 55.

Venue: Heinz Field, Date: Sunday, October 11th, Time: 1 PM EST (Week 5)

Whenever the “Birds” take on their in-state rivals, sparks fly. Well, with the exception of that beatdown Philly put on Pittsburgh almost four years ago. If you’re an Eagles fan, you like the result though, and Eagles fans should like what they see when their favorite squad marches into Heinz Field to meet the Pittsburgh Steelers on the second weekend in October.

Ben Roethlisberger will be back in the lineup for the black and yellow. Expect the “Birds” to lose a close win in a defensive struggle. Prediction: Birds – 17, Steelers – 20 (Record: 3-2)
