. . . QB Carson Wentz. 1. player. 54

The Philadelphia Eagles have a signal-caller who will elevate your lineup.

After last year, it’d be crazy not to consider Carson Wentz as one of the top quarterbacks in the league, especially for Fantasy football. If he can put up 1,220 yards, nine touchdowns, and just one interception in the last four Fantasy games of the year with little to no weapons, just imagine what he can do with the offense this year.

Even with Goodwin opting out, Greg Ward became a dependable slot receiver down the stretch. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will get more snaps now and is a big question mark but Wentz still has Jackson and Reagor. Considering what Wentz and Jackson did in week one last year, the offense should be a force to be reckoned with.

We’ve seen what Wentz is capable of when he has a deep threat to stretch the field. Torrey Smith was a solid deep threat in 2017 but didn’t do much until the playoffs and Wentz still had an MVP caliber season. He still has his star tight ends in the mix that he loves to target as well. Plus, Sanders and Boston Scott showed what they can do in the passing game.

There’s no need to panic if you miss out on the big arms like Mahomes, Wilson, or Aaron Rodgers. You’ll be just fine with Carson Wentz. You’ll also be able to get a few more assets and get Wentz a little later than other quarterbacks since he’s consistently disrespected and underrated by both fans and, now, some of his peers as well.
