2. Are you certain, right now as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, that Arnold isn’t just as good as the guys who are already here?

Think about two things for two seconds. The first is this. Are you totally certain that Grayland Arnold isn’t better than Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, Cre’Von LeBlanc, or Rasul Douglas? If you are, what’s your reason for saying that? You don’t have one, do you?

Every Eagles fan already knows, for the most part, what every member of this cornerback picture brings to the table, minus the new guys of course. That’s totally understandable if you need a crash course on them.

Unless you watched a ton of Detroit Lions football over the past few seasons (no one would blame you if you didn’t), the extent of what you know about Darius Slay might be that he was on the other end of the first interception of Carson Wentz’s career and what we’ve heard about him by reading about him. Come on. Unless you’re a fan of the Lions, who watches them outside of their Thanksgiving Day games? Let’s be honest. Some of you don’t even watch them then unless you’re tuning in during the second half.

No one would question your NFL allegiance if the only thing you knew about Robey-Coleman was he was the guy that went “Hulk Smash” on Tommylee Lewis in the most famous non-call in New Orleans Saints or Los Angeles Rams history. Both “NRC” and Slay can ball though. We all know that, but again, even with all that we know about the guys that are already here, are we certain about their ability?

There’s a reason why we keep asking who the other starter at cornerback is. There’s a reason why Philly’s brass keeps giving out one-year deals. It’s because no one is distinguishing themselves.
