One of the Philadelphia Eagles’ best options at corner is the son of a former ‘Bird’.

On one hand, Asante Samuel Jr. looks, on the surface, to be too small to line up on the outside for any NFL team. On the other hand, at five-foot-ten and weighing in at around 184 pounds, he’s a full inch taller than Avonte Maddox.

He’s also about the same physical makeup as both tip the scales at around 184 pounds and based on what we’ve been saying all offseason, Philly’s planning to start Maddox on the outside right?

Maddox makes sense as a prospect because, if he is a sot corner, Philly’s deals with both Nickell Robey-Coleman and Cre’Von LeBlanc expire after 2020’s campaign. The ‘Birds’ could easily let them walk and bring Samuel in, who just so happens to be the son of another former Eagles star by the way.

Eric Stokes, Georgia . 9. player. 814. . .

Though several college football conferences have canceled their 2020 seasons, in the South, where football is a secular religion, the SEC seems to be determined to carry on with business as usual. That means you’ll see some Georgia Bulldogs football, which also means ‘Birds’ get to watch a trio of very talented cornerbacks in UGA’s Tyson Campbell, D.J. Daniel, and Eric Stokes.

Stokes is entering what should be his final run with the ‘Dawgs’.
