Philadelphia Eagles: 3 Bubble guys who could make their 53-man roster
It wouldn’t be Philadelphia Eagles camp without a few underdog stories.
Prior to Brandon Graham stripping Tom Brady of the football, Jake Elliott’s subsequent field goal, and the thought every Philadelphia Eagles fan had that said ‘We may actually win this thing’, the best story about an underdog that was set in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ was about a fictional Italian boxer who just so happens to have a statue in the city.
Believe it or not, ‘Rocky’ had his likeness carved out long before there was ever a statue of Joe Frazier. That’s another story for another day, but it’s a shining example of how much the city of Philadelphia and the Eagles’ fan base loves a true underdog story.
As a matter of fact, they love the underdog story so much that they’ll attack Amazon and every other available shopping outlet, whether it be a free-standing storefront on an online distributor to buy the entire world’s supply of dog masks.
Training camp is in full swing, and with it comes another opportunity to cheer for the guys who sometimes fall into the category of ‘dark horse’. This time of year births guys like Paul Turner and Corey Clement, and in what might be the most challenging offseason in the history of this great franchise, rookies, both undrafted and drafted, are finding ways to flash to their coaches like Adrian Killins and Quez Watkins.
This story is for guys like them but particularly for guys who might be seen as the prospects who are on the ‘bubble’ when it’s time to craft that 53-man roster. Here are three such guys that might surprise you when that time comes.
