There are several factors that have always determined who wins and loses a football game, and if we’re being honest, one day, when we’re all gone and our grandchildren are watching the ‘Birds’ with their children, the same factors that used to dictate winners and losers will still be the ingredients that play into a Philadelphia Eagles victory party.

In school, we called them the who, what, when, where, why, and how. What time is the game? Where is it being played? What’s the weather going to be like? How does your offensive line stack up against their pass rush? How long can your cover guys stick with their receivers on any given play and vice versa?

Oh, and then there are those two other things (and these are probably the most important). Who are the coaches? Who’s playing for both teams at quarterback?

Ladies and gentlemen, Carson Wentz has proven that he can do two things that Dak Prescott can’t. One, he has the complete trust of the organization that he plays for, his teammates, and his coaches, now that we’ve gotten past that anonymous source and Nelson Agholor’s burner account. Oops. Did we just say that?

Second, when the chips are down and he has nothing around him to work with, ’11’ can still lead his squad to victory when he absolutely has to do it. Can your quarterback say that Cowboys fans?

Early on, it was Prescott that had a slight edge on things in this rivalry, mainly because he was surrounded by a better team. Now, Wentz has a few weapons of his own. We’ll see how things go in 2020. Game on Dallas. Game on.
