3 Reasons these Philadelphia Eagles don’t need Odell Beckham Jr
1. Doesn’t this Philadelphia Eagles team have enough drama as it is?
Perhaps many of you weren’t there or slept through that part of the season in 2019, so here’s the refresher course. Regardless of what some of you want to believe, some of Carson Wentz‘s struggles during the 2019-2020 season were the result of an internal issue. At least two of his teammates were out to get him.
What’s sad is there was really no way to correct any of that in the beginning. You remember. We were all struggling through a rough start to the 2019 regular season, and somewhere in there, an anonymous source popped up that said some pretty uncomplimentary things about QB1. Howard Eskin lamented publicly that he believed said source to be Alshon Jeffery. Somewhere in there, Nelson Agholor started a burner account, and well, again, you all saw this for yourselves while it was happening.
Maybe you’re among the 20 or so people that don’t believe Jeffery was the source or Agholor was behind the burner account. That’s fair, but here’s a question. Did you notice that, when both were confronted, they denied everything, but then, all of a sudden, all of the anonymous posts and comments stopped?
Hey, it is what it is. It’s all water under the bridge now, but let’s be frank. This is ‘OBJ’ you guys are clamoring for. Do you really think a team that’s tried to put nonsense behind them in the wake of Jason Peters‘ contract dispute and Zach Ertz losing his cool over his own contract situation (something that isn’t representative of how ’86’ normally acts) needs to add a drama king like Beckham Jr? No, seriously. You need to stop and think about that for a second.
