The Philadelphia Eagles own their fans the truth and must be upfront.

We are aware that this Eagles team has flaws. We know that general manager Howie Roseman has mismanaged the team’s books and there will be salary-cap consequences (and casualties) down the road. Furthermore, we are all also conscious that the ‘Birds’ have mismanaged the linebacker position for years, so why lie? Why not own up to their mistakes and do something about it instead of trying to conceal them.

Maybe Schwartz couldn’t come up with a better excuse or perhaps he sincerely thinks the team is doing a good job. Regardless of the reason, we see that Nathan Gerry is a liability in coverage, and the team currently holds a 1-3-1 record in part to their defense. Eagles fans deserve a team that holds itself to high standards and more importantly, respects their fans and more often than not tells the truth, whether it hurts or nor.
