10 Philadelphia Eagles that can help produce an upset versus Baltimore
The Philadelphia Eagles offensive line keeps going through changes.
Watching the 2020 Eagles offensive line do all that it can to replace body after bosy has been annoying to watch. No other unit has undergone as many changes. No one would blame you if you were a casual fan that only recognized veteran center Jason Kelce as he’s the only starter from 2019 that will play in Week 5.
Matt Pryor was just placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and that means that Jamon Brown will make his season debut and start at right guard against the Ravens. Originally a third-round pick in 2015, the Louisville product has started 52 games and played in 60 in his six-year professional career.
With Lane Johnson out on Sunday, rookie Jack Driscoll will make his second NFL start and his first since the 2020 season opener. Seriously, how many of you knew Jordan Mailata, Nate Herbig, Kelce, Brown, and Driscoll would be the Eagles starting offensive linemen this yea? If you raised your hand, please put it down. No one saw that coming or expected the turnover that this team has gone through in 2020.
Based on how Johnson’s ankle injury has been progressing, this might not be the last time we see Driscoll starting at right tackle. He needs to make the most out of his playing time while the team’s brass evaluates whether Driscoll can be part of their long-term plans. At this point, that’s the best that this team can do.
