Philadelphia Eagles sack master Josh Sweat needs to bring the heat.

Five weeks into the 2020 season, the Eagles have registered 18 sacks, good for third in the league. Their defensive line has set the tone at the line of scrimmage, and they’re getting valuable contributions from different players such as Derek Barnett, Malik Jackson, and veteran Brandon Graham.

Defensive end Josh Sweat has registered three sacks this season and he’s just one win away from tying his highest regular-season total. He and the rest of the Eagles’ defensive line need to contain Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and try force him to play from the pocket. That’s a tall order, but it’s doable as the Kansas City Chiefs showed in Week 3, when they limited him to 15 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown.

54. . . . Carson Wentz, quarterback . 1. player

It was just two weeks ago when some wondered about the possibility of benching Carson Wentz, but it’s clear that ’11’ gives them the best chance to win moving forward. Over the course of these past two games, he’s been able to make plays despite a lack of consistent protection. He’s been sacked eight times over the past two weeks. He’s been sacked 19 times on the season.

On the other hand, Wentz has to be more careful with the ball and cut the interceptions down. In every single game but one this season (the game Philadelphia won), he’s thrown two interceptions, and he has yet to play mistke-free football. This sounds cliché, but if he can avoid turning the ball over, the Eagles will have a legit chance to upset the Ravens at ‘the Linc’ in Week 6.
