Philadelphia Eagles versus Dallas: 10 Birds who must step up in Week 8
The Philadelphia Eagles expected more out of all three of these guys.
Here’s a statement that’s as honest as any statement can be. Nickell Robey-Coleman’s effort on that long run by Daniel Jones was about as pathetic as that time Ricky Watters caught alligator arms. Well, at least ‘NRC” wasn’t screaming ‘For who?’ and ‘For What?’ in the postgame interviews.
Robey-Coleman should have been benched, but again, if we’re being honest, Cre’Von LeBlanc hasn’t been much better. Both will be asked to limit CeeDee Lamb in Week 8.
The guy with the cool hair and really cool nickname needs a performance where his game matches all of that swagger that he comes with. A primetime game versus a rookie quarterback and a struggling supporting cast should allow us a few opportunities to see him wag the finger a little bit.
From the outside looking in, it feels like Avonte Maddox gave us all a lot to get excited over in his 2018 rookie season but has fizzled ever since. Like Mills, this could be a great opportunity to gain some more confidence, but it won’t be easy as he might see quite a bit of Michael Gallup duty.
