The Philadelphia Eagles welcome back their star tight end.

You can call it ‘throwing someone in the fire’ if you want, but Dallas Goedert signed up to play in the NFL and this is how it works. Zach Ertz is out, and even though you’ve been injured, you’re back in the starting lineup. That means you’re expected to play and play well.

In 2019, during the annual two games Philly plays versus Dallas, Goedert had both a game-altering fumble on the road and a momentum-shifting touchdown in the home game. Eagles fans everywhere are hoping for more of the latter.

The fifth-year veteran needs to do to the rookie what’s been done to him all season. There shouldn’t be any fourth-quarter comebacks versus a lesser team or long stretches of ineffectiveness in this one. Carson Wentz needs to dominate this one from start to finish.
