Abraham Lucas, OT, Washington State. 3. player. 846. . .

The Philadelphia Eagles take their second tackle from the Cougars in three years.

The last time the Eagles took an offensive tackle from the Washington State Cougars, well, to be honest, no one knows how in the heck that one turned out yet.

At the time, the general consensus was Philly was getting the second-best offensive tackle in the 2019 selection meeting. Since then, Dillard’s been seen crying on the sideline after being coached too hard, he’s been placed on the injured reserve before he even had a chance to see the field in 2020, and there have even been questions about whether or not a guy that was playing rugby when the Eagles won the Super Bowl is a better option to play left tackle going forward.

None of that should be held against Abraham Lucas though. He’s six-foot-seven, and he tips the scales at 324 pounds. That sounds like an eventual replacement for Lane Johnson or a potential guard and tackle hybrid at the next level.

You can expect that more attractive options at offensive tackle like Stanford’s Walker Little and Oregon’s Penei Sewell will already be off of the board by then. If Philly is looking to add to their defensive cupboard, fellow Cougar and linebacker Jahad Woods, Stanford’s Thomas Booker (a defensive end), and defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike of the Washington Huskies are all attractive options
