815. . . . Lincoln Riley, HC, Oklahoma Sooners. 5. player

Here’s the obligatory college head coach if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

The name Lincoln Riley is one that you should be familiar with if you’re a football fan. He’s the head man at a program whose name is just about as close to being synonymous with college football as someone’s name could be.

Throw out Spencer Rattler, and Riley churns out Heisman Trophy candidates (and winners) like KFC churns out biscuits. He’s literally an offensive genius.

Two of his last three students before Rattler won the most prestigious award in college football (Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray). His starting quarterback during Oklahoma’s 2019 campaign, Jalen Hurts, finished second in the Heisman voting a season ago. As you might have heard, Hurts is also on the Eagles roster now.

Riley was seen as a legitimate candidate for the Dallas Cowboys job this past offseason, but he elected to stay at his self-made kingdom in Norman, Oklahoma. The question is if he’s approached about the NFL’s greener pastures again, would he be able to say no? He has to be tired of semifinal losses in the College Football Playoff, a position that has seemingly become his ceiling.
