The Philadelphia Eagles owe the Titans one.

On August 16th of 2016, the Philadelphia Eagles made one of the worst decisions in the history of this franchise and quite possibly one of the worst decisions of this oft-troubled Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman era. Philly traded an offensive lineman, Dennis Kelly, to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.

DGB caught 36 passes and found his way into the end zone twice as a member of the Eagles, but he was released after the 2016 season. He hasn’t played in an NFL game since. Meanwhile, Kelly has appeared in 72 games as a member of the Titans with 25 starts (that includes the playoffs), and he’s still a productive member of Tennessee’s O-line.

Is anyone else feeling cheated?  It sounds like payback is in order. Perhaps Philly could raid the Titans for one of their young stars? If they do, there aren’t many better options than tight end Jonnu Smith.

In 59 career games with 52 starts (again, those numbers include the playoffs), Smith has hauled in 108 passes for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns. Think Richard Rodgers, just younger and faster. This may be someone whose name Philly fans may want to put an asterisk beside.
