The Philadelphia Eagles can’t overlook this Browns defense.

The Browns defense takes a lot of criticism, but make no mistake about it. They’ve got a lot of playmakers on this unit. Here are five that could stress the Birds out during Philly’s next stop on the schedule.

1. Olivier Vernon, defensive end

With Myles Garrett out of this one, Olivier Vernon figures to be a guy that the Birds will have to prepare for. He may not be as big a threat, but he’s someone Philly needs to account for.

2. Sheldon Richardson, defensive tackle

Jason Kelce is still one of the best centers in the entire NFL despite his recent struggles. It probably doesn’t help that, on more than one occasion, he’s had to compensate for the subpar play from the guys on his left and right. Sheldon Richardson could have a field day (if he plays), especially if Garrett gets rolling and Philly has to adjust to the havoc he’s causing.

3. Denzel Ward, cornerback

In Week 11, an Eagles wide receiver corps that has been inconsistent at best has to deal with Denzel Ward who is completely capable of eliminating one of them as a threat in the passing game.

4. B.J. Goodson, linebacker

Philly’s inability to acquire and develop great talent at the linebacker position is not a trait that the Cleveland Browns organization shares. Pay attention to Denzel Ward and Mack Wilson (if the latter plays), and definitely pay attention to B.J. Goodson. He has 65 total tackles, two picks, and four pass breakups on the year.

5. Andrew Sendejo, safety

Never underestimate guys who are playing their former teams. Expect Andrew Sendejo’s best effort in Week 11.
