Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Possible NFL Draft replacements for Alshon Jeffery
The Philadelphia Eagles may need to give Jaylen Waddle a serious look.
Over the course of the Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson, and Carson Wentz era, the Birds have had a tendency to get stuck on a few collegiate rosters. They seem to love the West Virginia Mountaineers. Think Rasul Douglas, Wendell Smallwood, and Shelton Gibson. They also seem to watch a ton of Stanford football.
They currently have three former members of the Cardinal on their current roster (Zach Ertz, Nate Herbig, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside), and during 2020’s NFL Draft, they selected another (Casey Toohill). He just happened to wind up on the Washington Football Team’s roster.
As wild as it is to say this, every year it feels like we’re talking about Philly’s need to find help at the wide receiver position. It definitely wouldn’t hurt if they looked at a program that has tremendous success with finding them and developing them. This team needs to put Jaylen Waddle on their draft board. He might be the 2020 NFL Draft’s best prospect at the position if you don’t include Ja’Marr Chase.
