Matt Pryor is back in the spotlight for the Philadelphia Eagles again.

Things change quickly. Somewhere between the close of the 2019 regular season and the first ten games of the Eagles’ 2020 regular-season campaign, Matt Pryor has gone from a guy that fans and members of the media felt pretty good about to a glorified liability whenever he’s been on the field.

Oh, so no one wants to admit to the fact that they were Matt Pryor fans now, huh? Seriously though. What happened here? This was one of those guys that most felt good about if there was any circumstance that would lead to him being forced into action. The 2020 season got going, and that hasn’t been what’s happened.

Pryor’s struggled. The highlight (or lowlight) of his season was that false start penalty in Week 3 versus the Cincinnati Bengals on what could have been a game-winning overtime field goal by Jake Elliott. He’s been in and out of the lineup and utilized all over the offensive line, but these next few games may be his audition for a spot on the 2021 Eagles roster.

Pressure does two things, ladies and gentlemen. We’re about to learn whether or not Mr. Pryor is a diamond or a pipe.
