Occasionally, guys come along in the Big Ten that are seen as potential sure things in the NFL. If you remember, Penn State’s Saquon Barkley was seen as such. That turned out to be a spot-on guess. Heading into 2019, Ohio State’s Chase Young was another guy NFL scouts couldn’t stop talking about. He ran through everybody in 2019, except for the Michigan Wolverines in ‘The Game’, when a younger version of Jalen Mayfield gave the future second-overall selection the best competition he has seen all season.

When these two were matched up versus each other in one-on-one situations during that one, Mayfield often had his way, and when Young did get the upper-hand, Mayfield still held his own. Michigan’s six-foot-five and 319-pound star has only gotten better since then. What are the chances that these former rivals could lock up versus one another for years to come?

Young is obviously making a name for himself with the Washington Football Team. What are the chances that Mayfield could land in the City of Brotherly Love as a member of the Birds and we could watch these two go at it for years to come? It could definitely happen.
