3. This is a great sign if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

If you’re a Birds fan, smile a little. This team has shown a propensity to make the same mistakes over and over again without learning from any of them. If we aren’t hearing Dave Fipp say nothing’s wrong with Jake Elliott, we’re watching this team hold on to guys like Darren Sproles, Corey Clement, and Mack Hollins for far too long. If that isn’t the case, they’re kicking the tires on Jason Peters, and Jay Ajayi, and Jordan Howard.

It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s not okay to make the same mistakes and learn nothing from them. This team can’t scout talent. There seems to be no thermometer that accurately describes the temperature of how far this franchise has fallen. We’re constantly told that this team ‘has got to get better’ and that they’re staying the course with what’s already being done. Truthfully, it’s become sickening to hear them say it.

light. Trending. Another Eagles mock: Birds add to their secondary

Seeing the decision to move on from Schwartz is a good sign though. Maybe he’s moving on. Maybe this is a mutual decision. Then again, this could be a classy way of allowing him to walk, so he doesn’t have the word ‘fired’ on his resume. Either way, this is a sign that they’re aware, at the NovaCare Complex, that change is necessary. This could be some light at the end of the tunnel if you’re a Birds fan.
