Expect the Philadelphia Eagles brass to worsen this quarterback debacle.

The decision on who plays quarterback for this Philadelphia Eagles team is in the hands of a prying owner and his talent evaluating Rockstar sidekick, and it appears, from the outside looking in, that the front office actually wants to keep both quarterbacks on the roster next season. Most of us are convinced of it. At first, most of us thought that all the posturing was for show. They could not be so stupid as to try to run it back with Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts on the same roster, could they?

Yes, they could, and it looks like they will. Unless Wentz lights a stick of dynamite in Roseman’s office in one last trade attempt, he will be back. Most of us don’t get the feeling that they want to trade Hurts. Nick Sirianni thinks that both are top-notch quarterbacks. He’s going to do just fine as Lurie and Roseman’s understudy as long as he keeps saying things like that.

Sirianni was relentlessly pressed on the quarterback situation, and he consistently gave non-answer after non-answer. He was asked if there would be a competition. He responded by saying they needed to evaluate all positions.

He was asked if he talked to Wentz. He said he had a good conversation with him. He was asked the same question regarding Hurts. He said he had the same conversation. Sirianni was obviously nervous and ready to crack from the word go. He was dipping and diving and avoiding questions like you’d expect him to. Doug Pederson and some of the other seasoned vets would be proud.

The Eagles were dysfunctional last year, and this season, they’re carrying the same quarterbacks who helped contribute to that. Lurie, Roseman, Sirianni, and company seemingly expect things to be rosy in 2021. If, in fact, they do then they are delusional. Things are only going to get worse, and when they do, they’ll be the laughingstock of the entire NFL. There’s no denying it. Sheesh! Get it together crew.
