Phillips can be a playmaker in the Philadelphia Eagles defensive backfield.

Ball State Cardinals cornerback Antonio Phillips is a six-foot, 195-pound big-play waiting to happen that would be the perfect match for the Philadelphia Eagles. He also has a high football IQ to go along with the swagger coaches look for in players and a nasty style of play that sets the tone for a defense.

Phillips has a way of reading and reacting at the drop of a dime. He also has the ball skills to make opposing offenses pay for their mistakes. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He also has the eye discipline to be a ball-hawk at the next level.

Of all the question marks plaguing the Eagles defense, cornerback may be the biggest issue. The Eagles need to add one or two talented prospects to their cornerback room to help them keep up with the talented weapons in the NFC East.

Adding Ball State cornerback Antonio Phillips in the 2021 NFL Draft could go a long way in helping them find the dominant defense the Philadelphia Eagles once housed, something that Birds fans have desired for quite some time.
