Have the Philadelphia Eagles soured on Bison quarterbacks now?

It wasn’t too long ago that we were debating whether or not someone at the NovaCare Complex was watching a bunch of West Virginia and Stanford football. There sure have been a bunch of Mountaineers and members of the Cardinal that have passed through the City of Brotherly Love.

Sometimes, one might wonder how much they’ve kept up with the North Dakota State Bison program with Carson Wentz hanging around, but even if they hadn’t done so, this Trey Lance guy has popped up on everybody’s radar, and one look at the film tells anyone watching it one thing. He’s done so for good reason.

Lance is calm, cool, and collected. Take a look at that photo. Did he forget to take his mouthpiece out of his facemask and pop it back in? It doesn’t get much calmer than that, especially in a game that counts against the win-loss total!

Standing at six-foot-four and tipping the scales at 226 pounds, Lance has proven he’s worthy of being on an NFL roster. The sample size isn’t tremendous, but in 18 games at the collegiate level, he’s thrown for 2,798 yards and a 67-percent completion percentage on 193 completions to go along with 28 touchdowns.

Expect his name to be mentioned a lot between now and April. The question is this. Would Philly invest another high draft pick on a guy from the Missouri Valley Conference? Only time will tell, but if they go with the ‘best player available’ approach don’t be surprised if Lance catches this team’s attention.
