Here’s a name that Philadelphia Eagles fans might already know.

Happy Valley isn’t as close to the NovaCare Complex as Temple or Villanova, but there are quite a few residents of Pennsylvania that are very familiar with the inner-workings of the Penn State Nittany Lions football program. There’s also a great Nittany Lion on Philly’s roster now, one Miles Sanders.

Has anyone else wondered if he’s been in the leadership’s ear about Micah Parsons or the next name on this list? There’s no question Miles has been keeping up with what his alma mater’s been doing.

Pat Freiermuth, Penn State

Pat Freiermuth is a six-foot-five, 258-pound prospect that earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019 and First Team All-Big Ten honors this past season. He was the winner of the Kwalick–Clark Tight End of the Year Award in 2020, an honor given by coaches and media that represent the Big Ten Conference.

If stats are your flavor of choice, Friermuth has those too. In 29 games at the collegiate level, he hauled in 92 receptions for 1,185 yards and found his way into the end zone 16 times. This is a young man that probably starts immediately and has a long career in front of him. Trust and believe Micah Parsons isn’t the only Nittany Lion coming into the 2021 draft with a little pop to him. Pat Freiermuth is someone that everyone should be discussing.
