Yes Philadelphia Eagles fans, you get one of the guys you want.

Round 1: Wide receiver DeVonta Smith, Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama Crimson Tide wideout DeVonta Smith could be the perfect addition to the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense. With Jalen Hurts potentially taking over, he’ll need a playmaker like Smith that he can grow with.

The six-foot-one and 180-pound ‘Slim Reaper’ is a bit thin but has all the tools and skillset to be a difference-maker for the Birds. Arguably the best route runner in the entire 2021 NFL Draft, Smith is a precise runner, one who uses intentional breaks to separate from defenders.

He’s quick both in and out of breaks and a burner that can pull away from the defense and score from anywhere on the field. He’s a true big-play waiting to happen, one who could help transition the Philadelphia Eagles offense into a dominant group.

Howie Roseman will have a giant list of prospects that he could take with the sixth pick, but when it’s all said and done, he needs to find talent to place around his second-year signal-caller. Adding the Crimson Tide product would be a huge first step in doing so.
