Philadelphia Eagles seven-round mock following Carson Wentz’s trade
Let’s hope the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t still scarred by Sidney Jones.
Round 7: Cornerback Keith Taylor, Washington Huskies
It seems like, every year, the Washington Huskies have another defensive back that becomes a playmaker in the NFL. This year, it’s Elijah Molden and Keith Taylor that are popping up on the radars of all 32 NFL teams.
If Philadelphia’s front office lands the six-foot-three, 195-pound prospect in the seventh round, they might need to be investigated for a robbery because that’s exactly what this would be.
Taylor is a long-bodied corner that can turn and run with the fastest of wideouts. He has the tools and skillset to be a starting cornerback in the NFL for a very long time. Blessed with eye discipline and amazing ball skills, this young man could potentially be a shutdown cornerback with the right coaching and development. You definitely won’t have to worry about him being bullied by bigger receivers.
The Eagles need to add as much talent as possible to the back end of their defense ASAP. Landing Taylor would be another great step in the right direction. Let’s just hope this team isn’t scarred by the last defensive back they took out of Washington.
