The Philadelphia Eagles save a lot of cash if they move a few Super Bowl heroes.

There’s also been a ton of hoopla surrounding the possible releases of guys like Rodney McLeod and Jalen Mills among others. The arguments for and against keeping both of them are obvious. You can truly make successful arguments to defend both sides. Just make sure you don’t listen to everyone’s take on this, especially on Twitter. It will truly make you want to rip your own insides out.

What seems like the inevitable departure of Zach Ertz feels like a done deal though. That saves the Eagles just under $5 million, but there are other theories that can be entertained as well. Some are less popular among most Eagles supporters (trading Darius Slay). Others might split the fan base down the middle or represent easier selling points.

Throw trading Brandon Brooks and Lane Johnson in the category of the former. Throw the possibility of restructuring both of those guys (or trading Derek Barnett) in the latter category. Why did they even exercise Barnett’s fifth-year option anyway? Seriously, they’ve seen him play right?
