882. . . . Rashawn Slater, Northwestern . . player

Slater would be the perfect fit for the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense.

At six-foot-four and 315-pounds, Northwestern Wildcats offensive tackle Rashawn Slater is a physical specimen. He’s been blessed with the natural athletic ability coaches covet and arguably the best footwork in the entire NFL Draft.

He’s also someone that’s capable of playing either the left or right tackle. Slater is a versatile weapon that has the football intelligence to be a Day 1 starter. He’s a road grader in the run game but truly shines while pass blocking. The Wildcat prospect has violent hands at the point of contact that keeps defenders off of his body.

The front office has to address the offensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft. While the wideout and cornerback positions have been what fans have clamored for, the big guys up front need to be ready to compete (and stay healthy) if the Birds want to have a shot moving forward.

Adding a player with Rashawn Slater’s skill set would be a great move by the front office, one that could pay off for years to come.
