Darden could be a star in the Philadelphia Eagles offense right away.

At five-foot-nine and 175-pounds, North Texas Mean Green wideout Jaelon Darden won’t wow anyone with his size, but when you put on his film, you see an explosive playmaker that runs arguably the sharpest routes in the entire draft.

A burst of energy anytime he has the ball in his hands, Darden has the skill set to score from anywhere on the field. He has soft hands, a very strong lower body, and the ability to separate at the tops of routes.

Although he has the ability to play all three receiver positions, he’s an absolute terror out of the slot. A defensive headache, Darden has the quick-twitch in and out of breaks that coaches look for at the next level. What’s most impressive is his ability to play in press coverage, where coaches want to see if a receiver can flourish. The Philadelphia Eagles need to add talent with Darden’s potential to help their offense.
