The Philadelphia Eagles could use a potential shutdown corner immediately.

South Carolina Gamecocks cornerback Jaycee Horn has already been considered the best defensive back in this year’s draft (by some). Whether you agree with that theory or not, here’s something we can all attest to. Horn has all the ability to be a true shutdown cornerback at the highest level of football.

At six-foot-one and 205-pounds, Horn has a rare combination of size, quick footwork, and athletic dominance. He has had coaches salivating over his skill set for the past two years. That’s for good reason. He’s a sticky-handed prospect that has disciplined eyes and the initial burst one needs when tracking a football.

The Philadelphia Eagles probably wouldn’t get as much draft capital back as they would like if they traded back for Horn, but when you take his talent into account, his value could be worth a lot more than any draft pick the Birds would be able to draft after him.

Jaycee Horn has all of the tools necessary to be a potential star in the NFL. Adding him to the Eagles defense could be a great investment that pays off immediately while giving them a starter on the outside for at least the next four to five seasons.
