3 Cornerbacks Philadelphia Eagles should consider teaming with Darius Slay
Trading for Oliver could boost the Philadelphia Eagles defensive backend quickly.
If the front office isn’t able to fix the cap situation to the point that they can afford a free-agent addition. Trading for a potential upgrade could be the next best thing. Atlanta Falcons cornerback Isaiah Oliver has all the tools to be a great fit for the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive unit.
The six-foot, 210-pound former Colorado Buffalo product has great size, great footwork while in coverage. He also has the aggressive nature that coaches love. A true run defender, Oliver is a force while attacking a ball carrier. While he has flown under the radar, this is a guy that has all of the potential to be a true star for the Birds.
If the front office can pull off a trade for the underrated corner, it could wind up being one of the best transactions in recent memory. The Eagles’ defense needs upgrades all over its roster, and helping the back end would be a great start to seeing that happen for a successful football team. Isaiah Oliver could be the perfect number two to Darius Slay in 2021 and beyond.
