. . Round 3 (Colts): Josh Myers, Ohio State. . player. 812.

The Philadelphia Eagles could reunite two former collegiate teammates.

Gosh, it would be nice to add a lineman here in Round 3, but there are a lot of guys that can be confusing if you watch them work.

There aren’t that many great options at the tackle position from a Big Ten perspective. Frankly, most of them are huge question marks. How good is Thayor Munford? We don’t know, do we? Round 3 is definitely too high to take Daniel Faalele from Minnesota, Brenden Jaimes of Nebraska, or Vederian Lowe of Illinois.

With that being said, the theory is guys like cornerback Shaun Wade and edge guy Jayson Oweh are off of the board. For that reason, in this scenario, Philly goes with center Josh Myers with one of those picks they got in exchange for Carson Wentz.

Myers could improve some of his recognition, particularly on blitzes, but he blocked well at the end of 2020. For that reason, we give him a slight edge over Jordan Reid of the Michigan State Spartans. The latter has a nice-sized frame at six-foot-four and 305 pounds, but he probably isn’t as NFL-ready as the former.
