Philadelphia Eagles, All-Big Ten seven-round mock draft
Jake Hansen could be someone the Philadelphia Eagles luck into come Round 7.
Illinois, stand up! Those of you who self-identify as fans of the Fighting Illini or as the alum of this great institution can beat yourselves on the chest or pat yourselves on the back when you think about this guy.
Hansen has gotten a few fifth and sixth-round grades, but he kind of feels like TJ Edwards. back in 2019, Edwards slid out of the draft, and though it’s still hard to quantify how that happened. Still, even with that being said, similarly, there’s a possibility the underrated Mr. Hansen could go later than he deserves to hear his name called. Trust and believe that won’t be because he isn’t talented though.
This six-foot-one, 230-pounder put in work for his school in 2020, playing well versus the run and making a few highlight-reel plays along the way. For his career, he racked up 242 total tackles, seven sacks, three interceptions, three pass breakups, and ten forced fumbles.
Think about him when you’re putting together those draft boards. If he slides, and there’s a chance that he might, Philly would be lucky to get him in Round 7.
