player. 842. . . . DB Jamien Sherwood, Auburn.

Sherwood’s is an underrated name Philadelphia Eagles fans should know.

Auburn Tiger defensive back Jamien Sherwood hasn’t had the media hype some of his fellow prospects have enjoyed, but don’t be fooled. He has all of the tools and the skill set necessary to be a true star on the backend of the Philadelphia Eagles defense, and that’s something they could really use.

At six-foot-two and 220-pounds, Sherwood has the rare size and freaky athletic ability that has coaches gushing. He is a true tackling machine and a weapon against the opposing team’s running game. Despite the lack of hype, the former Tiger is a pro-scout favorite with his violent playing style and high football IQ.

The Philadelphia Eagles were at their best when they had a defensive weapon to deploy in a multitude of ways. The former Auburn Tiger has all the potential to be that weapon at the next level. He can play on the backend of the defense in a single high safety responsibility or come down into the box and terrorize an opponent up close.
