The Philadelphia Eagles find their compliment for Darius Slay.

If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’ve heard about the revolving door at the linebacker position. Call it a crazy theory, but you can make the argument that there’s also a revolving door at cornerback.

Sure, guys hang around a little longer at the cornerback position, but every year, one of the narratives that surround this team is this franchise doesn’t have any cover guys. That isn’t for no reason.

Philly’s got a ton of bodies at cornerback, but they don’t have very many long-term answers. Paulson Adebo might have been one of the first or second handfuls of cornerbacks taken in the 2020 NFL Draft had he made himself available, but he elected to return to Stanford for one more year. Then, he sat out of the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen this young man play, but he should be mentioned more often as we approach the 2021 selection meeting. There’s a high chance that he gives Philly the compliment they need for Darius Slay just by showing up.
