. Rd 3: Walker Little, Stanford. . player. 871. .

The Philadelphia Eagles take a tackle even though they may not need him.

It’s hard to say, type, or write the following phrase. “The Philadelphia Eagles have too many good offensive linemen”. One, that’s a statement that isn’t true. Second, if anyone ever tells you their team has too many good linemen, slap them immediately.

Part of Philly’s problem is they haven’t invested enough draft capital into competent offensive linemen. Taking the six-foot-four Alijah Vera-Tucker in Round 1 and Stanford’s Walker Little in Round 3 take care of quite a few issues for this Eagles team in the trenches, and it does so immediately.

Sure, Philly has Andre Dillard and Lane Johnson. They also have a very capable Jordan Mailata, but Walker Little is someone that could develop into a capable starting tackle for the Birds. That’s something you don’t pass up just because you already have offensive tackles.

Little is six-foot-seven. He tips the scales at 320 pounds. He’s also a Stanford guy, and we know how much this Eagles organization loves Stanford prospects. Little is a nice acquisition in Round 3. USC Trojans defensive lineman Jay Tufele is a nice fallback option if Little isn’t available. Keep both of them in mind if you’re a Birds fan.
