Philadelphia Eagles roster: Ranking Miles Sanders best backup options
The Philadelphia Eagles’ signing of Killins was a bit of a shocker.
Unlike Holyfield, Adrian Killins has actually gotten his hands on the ball in an NFL game. It hasn’t been pretty though. His lone catch as a rookie came in Week 4 during a primetime game versus the San Francisco 49ers and resulted in two yards. His only rush attempt was that same weekend, one that came on an ugly reverse and resulted in a 12-yard loss.
You can blame bad coaching and placing Killins in a bad situation, or you can blame Killins for doing something wrong. The Eagles decided to partially do the latter as he was waived a day later.
He’d be re-signed two days after that, and after a roller-coaster ride that makes Greg Ward look like a mainstay, he was released three more times and ultimately saw his practice squad contract expire on January 11th. He was re-signed by the Birds on a two-year deal on March 17th.
Killins edges Holyfield on this list for one reason. We may already be aware of what Holyfield is capable of contributing which may not be much. On the other hand, there’s still some hope that Adrian Killins can evolve into a useful situational, rotational, or role player.
