This is one of the better Philadelphia Eagles prospects that no one mentions.

The Philadelphia Eagles got Alex Singleton to sign his exclusive rights free agent tender. That’s a good thing, but he needs help, particularly in coverage and on the outside.

Everyone knows who Micah Parsons and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are, but Zaven Collins might be a name that’s less familiar as he cut his teeth at the collegiate level with the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. He tallied 236 tackles, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and five interceptions in 32 career games.

There’s an obvious question after stating that though. Was he so productive because he’s an all-world talent, or did he benefit from playing against the guys he lined up against in the American Athletic Conference?

Honestly, who cares? For now, think of him as being right behind the aforementioned Parsons and Owusu-Koramoah in terms of talent. For the sake of argument, we’ll place him ahead of Kentucky’s Jamin Davis and Washington’s Joe Tryon. He’s a second-round prospect for sure. The question is whether or not he’d be a reach at the 37th-overall selection.
