Here’s a defensive back prospect for the Philadelphia Eagles that’s interesting.

Just a little under a year ago, the Philadelphia Eagles took three wide receiver prospects during the 2020 NFL Draft (and they traded for another during the draft’s third day) That’s how badly they needed help at the position.

Ask yourself a very serious question. If they drafted three corners in 2021, would anyone be disappointed with the decision? Don’t be shocked if the Birds add a cover guy both early and late.

If they do, there’s a possibility that they might be thinking about former California Golden Bears standout Elijah Hicks when the third day of the selection meeting rolls around.

Cal played him at both corner and safety. He didn’t rattle too many cages in 2020. Maybe the fact that he only appeared in four games had something to do with that, but when a man tallies 139 career stops, two sacks, two picks, two forced fumbles, a defensive touchdown, and 12 pass breakups, he’s going to get a few looks. Might the Birds be interested?
