. . . Jhamon Ausbon, Aggies. 5. player. 873

Philadelphia Eagles fans haven’t seen this guy for a while.

At six-foot-two and 218 pounds, Jhamon Ausbon is someone that might fall into that category of being ‘quicker than fast’. Sure, we all gush over 40 times, but rarely have you seen games where guys just line up and run 40 yards on a rope down the field in an attempt to get open.

Speed is a nice asset, but it doesn’t mean anything without polished route-running, nice hands, and the ability to make something happen after the catch. Just ask some of the Eagles’ receivers.

Ausbon hasn’t played since 2019, as was the case with quite a few collegiate stars, but his tape from his junior season is very telling. He has what so many refer to as ‘game speed’.

He may not feel like a 4.2-second 40-yard dash guy, but after hauling in 147 receptions for 1,818 yards and reaching the end zone eight times in 34 career contests, we can forgive him for that right? Dyami Brown of the North Carolina Tar Heels is speedy. Florida State’s Tamorrion Terry is rangy and tall, but it just feels like Ausbon is a little more NFL-ready, even if we haven’t seen him in a while.
