. Round 5: Malik Herring, UGA. . player. 814. .

Herring could be the perfect addition to the Philadelphia Eagles defense at 150.

At six-foot-three and 290-pounds, Malik Herring has great size to go along with his freakish athletic makeup. He didn’t register a lot of sacks as a collegiate star, but with proper coaching, he could become a true terror coming off the edge. He has the potential to be someone that keeps opposing offensive tackles awake at night.

What stands out about Herring is his ability to be moved across the defensive front. Truthfully, his best fit in the NFL may be at defensive tackle. The thick-bodied prospect has the base to shut down the running game as well as the raw speed to play in space and run down anyone with the ball in their hands.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to add talent to the front line of their defense this year. Landing Herring could be the right way to go.
