Philadelphia Eagles draft: 3 Great options for day three
The Philadelphia Eagles can never have enough corners to help their defense.
Six-foot-one, 185-pounds, scrappy, and blessed with a quick twitch while in coverage, Georgia Bulldog’s cornerback DJ Daniel, has everything you want in a defensive back. Despite being somewhat overshadowed this year, Daniel is an underrated playmaker, one that can potentially be a shutdown corner in the NFL.
He has the quick feet you want playing on the backend, as well as the aggressive playing style that would resonate with Philadelphia Eagles fans. Watching his work at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, was eye-opening for scouts and media alike. He dominated the week while facing some of the top receivers, in the 2021 NFL Draft.
His versatile play stood out as he played just as well in the slot as he did on an island. Challenging every step taken by opposing wideouts, Daniel was a handful to deal with. He’s a humble young man that flips a switch when he competes. The former Bulldog has all the confidence in the world in his play.
The Eagles need to add talent to the backend of their defense. Adding DJ Daniel could go a long way in solidifying the back end moving forward.
