One more edge rusher for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ front office loves edge rushers as they should, and here, they spend the last of their 11 picks on one. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Florida State’s Joshua Kaindoh.

He’s certainly had his fair share of injuries, but he has the measurables and skillset to be a rotational defensive end if all goes well. Kaindoh stands at six-foot-six, and he weighs in at 260 pounds. He has the frame and length (34.5-inch arms) to be an NFL edge rusher. The sample size just isn’t there.

Philly took a chance on a defensive end from Florida State not too long ago. His name was Josh Sweat. Now, to be fair, Sweat had more production and a better resume. He also displayed more bend when rushing outside.

That’s why Sweat was a fourth-round pick. While Kaindoh likely won’t get picked until later on, he is certainly worth a seventh-round selection if he’s available. He would have the benefit of learning under a few defensive ends who have experience in the league and wouldn’t be anything more than a rotational player on the line. Ideally, Kaindoh could come in fresh off of the bench when the Eagles slide their edge rushers inside or if their edge rushers need a break.
