2015: Nelson Agholor joins the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the 2015 NFL Draft, Philadelphia’s first-round selection was wide receiver Nelson Agholor out of the USC Trojans program. It marked the first time the team had drafted a wide receiver in the first round since the 2009 selection of Jeremy Maclin.

Agholor’s best year with the Birds came during the Super Bowl run as he hauled in 62 receptions,  racked up 768 receiving yards, and scored eight touchdowns. That made him second on the team in receptions, third in receiving yards, and tied him for second place in touchdown receptions during the 2017 season.

Agholor’s best day came on the grandest stage. He wouldn’t reach the end zone, but the Eagles may not have won Super Bowl LII without him. He hauled in nine receptions for 84 yards.

Sure, much of his run with the Philadelphia Eagles was highlighted by drops. He’ll always be remembered for how he exited, but the former Eagle turned a great year with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 into a multi-year deal with the New England Patriots.

With that being said, let’s talk about a few of Doug Pederson’s guys.
