Philadelphia Eagles have backed themselves into a corner at running back

The Philadelphia Eagles are troubled at running back and don’t seem to care.

Does anyone else feel like the Philadelphia Eagles already have gridlock at the running back position? What’s that? You haven’t given it too much thought? Just hang in there for a second because we all clearly have tons to talk about. Stop us if any of this sounds familiar.

These days, it feels like the Birds have made an annual tradition out of forcing the media and all of their fans into the same old conversations. Every March and April, we all sit here and scratch our heads about how roster mismanagement seems to have put this team back in a familiar position, and not in a good way.

Why is it we’re always talking about how they need linebackers, depth along the offensive line as well as an elite wide receiver, and maybe two more cover guys at a minimum? Why?

Perhaps we should start discussing their need for running backs in a similar fashion. Just think about this for a second and feel free to chime in when things begin to sound less than factual. Here are two reasons why this team has backed itself into a corner at the running back position.
