Philadelphia Eagles prospect profile: Texas A&M DL Bobby Brown III

Defensive tackle Bobby Brown III is a headache for opposing offenses. The next man up in a long list of talented Texas A&M defenders, Brown has an amazing opportunity ahead of him. he’s been blessed with the football intelligence and raw ability Philadelphia Eagles fans adore in their players. With the 2021 NFL Draft upon us, Brown should be a guy the Philly front office keeps two sets of eyes on.

The Texas product has the rare combination of size (he’s six-foot-four and 325 pounds), underrated athletic ability, and arguably the quickest get-off in this year’s draft. He’s capable of eating up space as the defensive line’s run stuffer, but he’s so much more. With his violent hands, he is able to separate himself from blockers, shedding offensive linemen, and attacking the quarterback. Needless to say, the big man is a tone-setting force in the middle of the defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense has been lucky over the years, as they have housed some of the best pass-rushers in the league. Led by defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and edge defender Brandon Graham, the Birds have been known to scare quarterbacks. Even with the bevy of talent over the years, the Eagles need to find depth now and for the future.

Moving forward, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman needs to add to the cupboard before it runs bare. Age is a concern that all 32-teams deal with, and the Eagles are no exception to that rule. The aforementioned Cox and Graham are both getting up there, so adding a talent like Brown could go a long way in alleviating that issue, or at least helping with the problem.

"When you watch his film (Brown) you see the potential this kid has. He is a space-eater but so much more. I think he can attack if he needs to, he can obviously play the run well, but he is a guy that will get after it non-stop. The Philadelphia Eagles love to add talent to their line, and this kid checks off all the boxes."

As mentioned, the front office needs to add depth to their defensive line in the 2021 NFL Draft. Adding a player like Bobby Brown III could be the perfect investment moving forward. With his raw ability, nasty attitude, and freaky skillset. Brown could be the perfect addition to the Eagles roster come this weekend.
