The Philadelphia Eagles may want to invest in one more guy for the QB room.

Tell the truth. How many of you, by a show of hands, were downright horrified when the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to the tenth-overall selection? Sure, we all thought that DeVonta Smith might be the pick, but this is also Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie that we’re talking about. If anyone could have screwed things up, it’s those two.

How many of you thought the quarterback factory was about to get cranked up again? Justin Fields is a baller, and truthfully, that might have made some fans happy, but Philadelphia invested a second-round pick in Jalen Hurts in 2019. You can take two things from that.

One, Philly kind of needs to see if he can play. Second, even had they taken Fields, neither guy can be successful until Philly decides to build around somebody. They just can’t keep taking quarterbacks and expect them to be successful with little to no help.

The boss, Jeffrey Lurie has planted his flag. He asked that his team do what it can to help ensure Hurts’ success. Philly added a backup in Joe Flacco. A third option would be nice.

Moving on from Nate Sudfeld was long overdue, and the Birds need a nice young understudy to hang out in the quarterback room with Hurts, Flacco, and Brian Johnson. Here are three options if they want to invest a draft pick to make that happen.
