Philadelphia Eagles land their QB3 in K.J. Costello.

While K.J Costello might not be the best option for the third-string job, the Eagles have been linked to him quite a bit. He seems like the type of quarterback the Birds front office would be intrigued by.

The six-foot-five, 225-pound redshirt senior spent most of his college career at Stanford. He enjoyed a successful junior season in 2018 before suffering injuries in 2019 and struggling in 2020 at Mississippi State.

To be fair, he had a difficult transition into a completely different scheme during an offseason with COVID restrictions. At the same time, he is easily a developmental prospect.

While he can stand in the pocket and deliver the ball when given easy reads, he tends to make costly decisions under pressure. While the hope is that he won’t have to take the field any time soon, he is still a big upgrade over Nate Sudfeld as ‘QB3’.
